OTHER GAME - Spanish Ibex Hunts

DEER,FALLOW DEER,MOUFLON AND WILD BOAR

The four species are distributed throughout the Iberian Peninsula and can be hunted by stalking or in our traditional driven hunts called in spanish “Montería”.

The hunting season begins in september with deer rut of red deer then first days of october begins fallow deer rut and mouflon begins in november.

October to february is the season for this species to be hunted by driven hunts method.

Mouflon and wild boars can be hunted during all year round by stalking or from stands.

Quality trophies goes from representative to gold medals in all this species.

BARBARY SHEEP

The Barbary sheep is a brown medium-sized bovine of between 100 kg and 150 kg.

It has horns that curve back and downwards.

It was introduced into Spain in 1970 from the Sahara desert and the Atlas mountains.

The mating season covers October and November which is when we can bring down the best males.

It roams freely in Spain in the Mediterranean areas of Murcia, Alicante and Almeria, as well as being found on enclosed estates within the peninsula.

BALEAREAN BOC

The Balearean Boc is the only large game that inhabits the island of Majorca and is a unique trophy.

The characteristic trophy is that of widely spread horns in an almost horizontal V-shape, with a length of up to almost 100 cm.

Its coat is black and brown.

It is hunted in the mountains of Tramontana in Majorca, by stalking.

Typically, shots are taken from 200-300 metres.

This species may be hunted throughout the year, which constitutes the perfect excuse to combine some hunting and tourism.

DRIVEN HUNTS

Mounted hunting is a traditional and unique form of hunting deer, buck, mouflon and boar in the mountains of Spain, assisted by dogs.

Hunters surround the hunting area; dogs and flushers drive the animals to make them leap out where the hunters are emplaced.

We organise these hunts for 5 to 25 hunters for varied species or for just one or two.

Days of many animals, great quality or both by request.

We hunt in the centre and south of the peninsula in the regions of Castilla La Mancha and Andalucía.
